Google Analytics

Connect a Google Analytics 4 property once and StackMivo injects the tracking tag into every project you own, live on both the in-app preview and each project's own URL.

StackMivo can add your Google Analytics 4 (GA4) tracking tag to the apps you build. You connect a single Measurement ID at the account level, and it is injected into the source of every project you own, so pageviews are tracked both in the in-app preview and when the project is served from its own URL.

This is an account-level connection, not per-project. One Measurement ID applies to all of your projects at once. There is nothing to configure inside individual projects.

Step 1: Find your Measurement ID

  1. Open analytics.google.com → Admin → Data Streams
  2. Select your web stream
  3. Copy the Measurement ID. It starts with G- (for example, G-XXXXXXXXXX)

A GA4 Measurement ID is a public identifier. It ships in your app's HTML by design, so it is safe to paste here. This is not a secret API key.

Step 2: Connect Google Analytics

  1. In StackMivo, open Integrations and choose Google Analytics (or open the Google Analytics page directly)
  2. Fill in the connection form:
FieldRequiredNotes
Measurement IDYesGA4 format, G-XXXXXXXXXX. Automatically upper-cased.
Property LabelNoA friendly name for your own reference (e.g. "My Marketing Site").
  1. Click Connect Google Analytics

Once saved, the page shows a Connected status along with your Measurement ID and label.

How tracking is applied

After connecting, the GA4 tag is added to your projects' source. Tracking is live in two places:

  • The in-app preview inside the IDE
  • Each project's own URL when it is served or deployed

Because the tag is part of the generated source, pageviews start flowing to your GA4 property automatically: no extra code and no per-project setup.

Pausing and resuming

Use Pause tracking to temporarily stop the tag from being injected into previews without deleting your connection. The status changes to Paused. Click Resume tracking to turn it back on.

Pausing keeps your Measurement ID and label saved. It just stops injection. Use it when you want analytics off for a while without re-entering your ID later.

Disconnecting

Click Disconnect on the Google Analytics page and confirm Remove this Measurement ID?. Your stored Measurement ID and label are deleted, and the tag is no longer injected into your projects.

Troubleshooting

ProblemSolution
No data in GA4Confirm the connection shows Active (not Paused), and that the Measurement ID matches the web stream in your GA4 property.
Wrong property receiving dataDisconnect and reconnect with the correct G- Measurement ID from Admin → Data Streams.
Tag not appearing in a previewMake sure tracking is Active; paused connections are not injected into previews.
