Laravel Nightwatch

Enable Laravel Nightwatch monitoring on a project by pasting your Nightwatch token into the workspace Integrations settings. StackMivo writes the token to the project's environment for you.

Laravel Nightwatch is Laravel's monitoring service for production errors, slow requests, and queue health. StackMivo lets you enable it on any project from the workspace, without editing the environment file by hand.

This integration is per project. Each project has its own Nightwatch toggle and token.

Step 1: Get your Nightwatch token

  1. Sign in to Nightwatch and open the application you want to monitor
  2. Go to Settings → API
  3. Copy the application's token

Step 2: Enable Nightwatch on a project

  1. Open the project in the workspace
  2. Click the Settings tab, then choose Integrations in the left navigation
  3. Under Sources, switch the Nightwatch toggle on
  4. Paste the token into the Nightwatch Token field
  5. Click Save changes

A green Token configured indicator appears once a token is stored, and a toast confirms the settings were saved.

What saving does

StackMivo writes two variables into the project's .env file:

NIGHTWATCH_ENABLED=true
NIGHTWATCH_TOKEN=your-token

Nothing else changes. No packages are installed and the container isn't restarted. If your project already includes the Nightwatch package, it starts reporting on the next request. If it doesn't, ask the AI in chat to install and configure laravel/nightwatch, or add it yourself from the terminal.

Both variables appear in the ENV Variables editor as locked rows. You can see them there, but the only place to change them is the Integrations screen.

Disabling Nightwatch

Switch the Nightwatch toggle off and click Save changes. The .env file is updated with NIGHTWATCH_ENABLED=false. The token stays stored so you can turn monitoring back on later without re-entering it.

Troubleshooting

MessageCauseFix
Nightwatch token is required to enable the integrationThe toggle is on but the token field is emptyPaste your token, or switch the toggle off
.env file not foundThe project's container has no environment file yetStart the project with Run and try again
Failed to save integration settingsThe container could not be written toMake sure the project is running, then retry

The token is shown in plain text on the Integrations screen to anyone with access to the project. Only grant project access to people you trust with the token, and rotate it in Nightwatch if it's exposed.
